Theodore L. DeWeese is a leading figure in radiation oncology, whose work has fundamentally advanced the integration of imaging and robotics into cancer therapy. His research centers on precision radiation delivery, image-guided interventions, and the treatment of prostate cancer. DeWeese’s most impactful contribution is the development of a high-resolution, small animal radiation research platform with X-ray tomographic guidance, a landmark paper cited over 360 times that has become a cornerstone for preclinical radiobiology.
