About

Dr. Syed Noeman Taqui is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of environmental remediation and renewable energy technologies. His work is defined by two core areas: sustainable wastewater treatment using advanced nanomaterials and intelligent solar energy systems. Dr. Taqui made a landmark contribution to environmental science by being the first to demonstrate the use of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs)—a low-cost, abundant, and minimally toxic nanomaterial—for the effective removal of brilliant green dye from water. His 2021 study on this subject, which has garnered 25 citations, provides critical isotherm, kinetic, and modeling insights that have opened new pathways for affordable water purification. In the energy domain, Dr. Taqui is advancing smart solar technologies. He has developed a deep learning model for monitoring solar PV cells integrated with bio-based phase change materials (PCMs), and an Internet of Things (IoT) framework for real-time solar energy measurement and technical support. These innovations, published in 2023, are driving the next generation of efficient, data-driven renewable energy systems. Through his dual focus on clean water and clean energy, Dr. Taqui is making tangible contributions to global sustainability.
