Sabur F. Abdullaev is a leading atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the vertical profiling of dust and aerosol properties in Central Asia, a region critical to understanding global climate dynamics. His most impactful work centers on the POLIPHON (Polarization Lidar Photometer Networking) method, which he has refined using global AERONET data to convert lidar measurements into estimates of dust mass, cloud condensation nuclei (CCN), and ice-nucleating particle (INP) concentrations.
