About
Ruiqing Fu is a pioneering roboticist whose research centers on climbing robots for deformable surfaces, lower-limb exoskeletons, and autonomous mobile robot navigation. Fu’s most notable contribution is the invention of “Rubbot” (2013), a novel robot that climbs soft, flexible clothes using specialized grippers that rub against fabric, controlled by infrared sensor feedback—a breakthrough for wearable robotics and textile manipulation.
