About

Nina Wilson is a leading clinical researcher in stroke rehabilitation, whose work has fundamentally shaped our understanding of upper limb recovery. Her primary research areas focus on the comparative effectiveness of robot-assisted training versus enhanced therapy programmes for patients with post-stroke arm impairment. Wilson is best known as the chief investigator of the landmark RATULS trial, the largest multicentre randomised controlled trial of its kind, which demonstrated that robot-assisted training using the MIT-Manus system was no more clinically effective than an enhanced upper limb therapy programme for improving arm function.
