About
Mikyung Shin is pioneering the next generation of soft, bio-integrated electronics for human–machine interfaces and closed-loop rehabilitation. Her research centers on injectable and stretchable tissue prostheses, granular adhesives, and conductive hydrogels that seamlessly merge with the body to enable real-time, interactive therapy. Shin’s landmark 2023 paper, “Injectable tissue prosthesis for instantaneous closed-loop rehabilitation,” has already garnered 170 citations, highlighting its transformative potential for cognitive behavioral therapy and physical recovery in patients with brain disorders.
