Margo Seltzer is a pioneering computer scientist whose research spans operating systems, file systems, database systems, and the intersection of computing with the physical world. She is perhaps best known for her foundational work on the Berkeley Fast File System (FFS) and the Log-Structured File System (LFS), which revolutionized how data is stored and retrieved.
