About

Manos M. Tentzeris is a pioneering figure in the fields of flexible electronics, RF energy harvesting, and additive manufacturing for wireless communication systems. As a Regents Professor and Ken Byers Professor at Georgia Tech, he has revolutionized the way electronic systems are fabricated, introducing inkjet-printed antennas, sensors, and RFID modules on unconventional substrates like paper, plastic, and textiles. His work has enabled ultra-low-cost, environmentally sustainable "Internet of Things" devices that can be printed on demand, with his most cited papers collectively garnering over 20,000 citations. Among his landmark contributions is the development of the first fully inkjet-printed flexible energy harvester, capable of scavenging ambient RF energy to power wireless sensors. Tentzeris has also pioneered "zero-power" wireless sensing platforms and 3D-printed electronics for 5G/6G communications. His Duco project (2021) introduced a large-scale fabrication robot that transforms passive architectural surfaces into interactive, electronically augmented environments. A Fellow of IEEE and recipient of numerous best paper awards, Tentzeris continues to push the boundaries of sustainable, ubiquitous electronics.
