M. Iarlori is a prominent atmospheric physicist specializing in aerosol remote sensing, particularly the long-range transport of mineral dust and its climatic impacts. Her major contributions center on validating dust transport models through ground-based lidar observations, most notably during the Saharan Mineral Dust Experiment (SAMUM) 2006.
