L. Tresaugues is a structural biologist whose work has been instrumental in advancing high-throughput structural genomics, particularly through the development of open-source laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and automated crystallization strategies. Their most cited paper, "HalX: an open-source LIMS for small- to large-scale laboratories" (2005, 28 citations), addresses a critical bottleneck in structural genomics: managing the explosive growth of protein sequence data.
