Dr. Jinan Ma is a leading figure in lunar science and planetary exploration, whose work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of the Moon's surface environment. Her primary research focuses on the in situ measurement and characterization of lunar dust, a critical hazard for future human and robotic missions. Dr. Ma’s most significant contribution came from her pioneering role in the Chang'E-3 mission, where she led the first-ever in situ measurements of lunar dust on the Moon since the Apollo era.
