About
Georg Tuparev is a leading figure in the development of robotic telescope networks and astronomical observing protocols. His primary research areas include automated telescope operations, heterogeneous telescope networking, and the standardization of remote observation technologies. Tuparev's most significant contribution is his pioneering work on the MONET (Monitoring Network of Telescopes) project, where he co-developed two 1.2-meter robotic telescopes—one at McDonald Observatory in Texas (2006) and another at the South African Astronomical Observatory's Sutherland Station.
