About
G. Jaya Aadityaa is a robotics researcher whose work focuses on advancing autonomous systems for critical infrastructure inspection and energy-efficient robotic design. His primary research areas include simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), sensor fusion, and structural optimization for robotic manipulators. Aadityaa’s most significant contribution is the development of the Visual-Inertial-Laser-Lidar (VILL) SLAM system, a pioneering approach for real-time dense RGB-D mapping in pipe environments. This work directly addresses the hazardous and labor-intensive task of pipeline inspection, enabling early detection of anomalies and prevention of dangerous leaks and explosions.
