Evandro Conforti is a Brazilian physicist and engineer whose research bridges experimental optics, instrumentation, and telecommunications. He is best known for pioneering work in fiber-optic sensors and remote monitoring systems, particularly through his development of a LabVIEW-based platform for SMS instrumentation supervision and control. This early contribution, published in 2011 and cited 7 times, demonstrated how mobile networks could be harnessed for real-time data acquisition and remote equipment management—a concept that anticipated the broader Internet of Things (IoT) revolution.
