David Vaughn is a polar oceanographer and robotic exploration specialist whose work has revolutionized our understanding of ice-ocean interactions at the most vulnerable glaciers in Antarctica. His primary research focuses on sub-ice-shelf oceanography, grounding zone dynamics, and the development of underwater robotic platforms for extreme environments.
