About
Daniel Heffernan-Ho is a urological surgeon and researcher whose work is reshaping the surgical management of prostate cancer, with a particular focus on preserving patients’ quality of life. His primary research areas include intraoperative neurovascular bundle preservation during robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) and the use of multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) for pre-operative cancer staging. He is best known for his central role in the NeuroSAFE PROOF trial, a landmark IDEAL stage 3, multi-centre, single-blinded randomised controlled study.
