About
Dae-Sik Moon is an observational astronomer whose research has made significant contributions to our understanding of supernovae and gamma-ray bursts. Working primarily with robotic and automated telescope systems, Moon has helped transform how transient astronomical phenomena are systematically studied at scale. Moon played a central role in developing and deploying the fully robotic Palomar 60-inch telescope (P60), a landmark achievement in automated observational astronomy that has accumulated over 245 citations.
