Cyrille Flamant is a leading atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the critical interactions between mineral dust, clouds, and radiation in the Earth’s climate system. His work is central to understanding how Saharan dust influences boundary layer processes and the broader climate of West Africa. Flamant’s most impactful contribution comes from the Fennec climate programme, where he led groundbreaking airborne observations over the remote Sahara.
