Constantinos Goulas is a rising leader in the field of medical microrobotics, with a focused expertise in the wireless actuation and control of untethered magnetic devices for endovascular interventions. His research centers on solving critical challenges in minimally invasive surgery, particularly the precise navigation and manipulation of tiny robots within the complex, narrow vessels of the human body. Goulas’s major contributions include the first ex vivo validation of magnetically actuated intravascular robots in a clinical setting, a landmark study that has already garnered 18 citations since its 2024 publication.
