C. M. Raiteri is a prominent astrophysicist whose research has profoundly shaped our understanding of blazars — among the most energetically extreme objects in the universe. Specializing in the optical and multifrequency variability of active galactic nuclei, Raiteri has made landmark contributions to blazar monitoring and outburst characterization.
