Barnaby Norris is a leading figure in astronomical instrumentation, whose work has dramatically expanded our capacity to map the universe in unprecedented detail. His primary research focus is the design, construction, and commissioning of cutting-edge integral field spectrographs (IFS), which capture a spectrum for every pixel in an image of a galaxy.
