About

Baoxing Xu is a leading researcher in the mechanics and materials design of soft, stretchable electronics and bio-integrated systems. His work bridges the gap between fundamental mechanics and practical device engineering, with a strong focus on creating materials that can seamlessly interface with the human body. A landmark contribution is his development of an epidermal stimulation and sensing platform (298 citations), which integrates electrotactile stimulation with multiple sensing modalities for applications in prosthetic control and muscle activation.
