About
Ao Cao is a rising roboticist whose work focuses on assistive and autonomous systems, with key contributions in bionic robotics, intelligent manipulation, and human–robot interaction. His research bridges mechanical design and deep learning, aiming to create robots that can perceive, adapt, and assist in real-world environments. Among his most notable works is the development of a bionic blind-guiding robot that integrates a wheeled-legged foldable structure, enabling visually impaired individuals to navigate complex terrains with enhanced stability and mobility. This work, already garnering early citations, reflects his commitment to socially impactful engineering. He has also designed a multi-functional robotic gripper for automatic loading systems, combining optimized mechanical architecture with deep vision-based control to improve efficiency in warehouse automation. Though early in his career, Ao Cao’s publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward practical, human-centered robotics. His work on the blind-guiding robot, in particular, stands out as a novel synthesis of bio-inspired design and assistive technology, positioning him as a promising innovator in the field of service robotics.
