Yu Pang is a leading innovator in flexible electronics, with a primary focus on high-performance strain sensors for wearable technology and human motion detection. His major contributions address a critical bottleneck in the field: the trade-off between sensor sensitivity (gauge factor) and the range of strain it can measure. Pang’s pioneering work introduced novel structural designs, such as self-locked overlapping graphene sheets, to overcome this limitation.
