About

Nikola Cesarovic is a pioneering translational researcher at the intersection of cardiovascular medicine and rehabilitation robotics. Based at ETH Zurich, his work centers on developing and testing innovative, interdisciplinary solutions for patients with advanced cardiac and pulmonary diseases. Cesarovic’s major contributions include demonstrating the safety, feasibility, and tolerability of lightweight wearable exoskeletons—such as the Myosuit—for assisted mobilization in advanced heart failure patients and lung transplantation candidates. His pilot studies, cited over a dozen times, provide critical early evidence that robotic movement therapy can be safely integrated into clinical care for these fragile populations.
