About
Deepak K. Sharma is a rising leader in nanophotonics and advanced imaging, whose work bridges fundamental optics and cutting-edge device engineering. His research centers on metalens technology, plasmonic nanostructures, and the manipulation of structured light for next-generation sensing and communication. In a landmark 2024 study, Sharma demonstrated the first stereo imaging metalens camera with a hemispherical field of view, enabling wide-angle 3D depth perception critical for robotics, autonomous navigation, and medical diagnostics.
