Abstract
A fuzzy controlled robot system, which can grasp a 2D irregularly moving spherical object is presented. It consists of a scalar type arm robot, an image processing system, and a fuzzy controller. The moving position of the spherical object is predicted by a fuzzy inference method based on a trajectory pattern matching procedure.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
