Abstract
The paper reveals the design and development, from the concept to the experimental model, of a hardware and software of a rehabilitation robotic system, as well as the development of the human-machine interface necessary for the easy control of the robotic system. The resulting human-machine interfaces, developed on a dedicated HMI unit, are simple, intuitive and easy to use, offer the feeling that the therapists can fully and comfortably exploit all the resources of the robotic system. The rehabilitation robotic system is a fully functional experimental model and it presents a number of advantages for patients.
