Abstract

Robots are being deployed to assist humans in almost all the field where manual labor is required or there is a threat to human life. With advancements in robotics, these robots have become faster, more efficient, and capable of accomplishing tasks that could otherwise be hazardous for humans. Moreover, these machines perform operations with much higher accuracy and speed. But there are specific jobs (for instance, handling harmful chemicals) which a programmed robot cannot accomplish [7], and human intervention is required. To solve this issue, we have developed a Robotic Hand that can mimic user’s hand gestures with a certain degree of accuracy in real-time. The robotic hand is controlled using a specially designed glove through Tele-Operation and can be operated from a distance.
