Abstract

This paper examines the problem of simulating angular velocity fields that may for example, be experienced by a pilot during a supermaneuverable flight trajectory. The ability to simulate angular velocity fields has important applications in the study of certain physiological effects encountered by pilots during these unusual flight scenarios. The simulations are to be performed using a centrifuge simulator called the Dynamic Environment Simulator (DES) located in the Armstrong Laboratory of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
