Abstract
Magnetically guided actuation of multiple identical robots by the coplanar coils are discussed. Attention is paid to uniform and also individual actuation of multiple magnetic robots on planar surfaces. The basic multi-robot actuation techniques are experimentally demonstrate and novel technique take advantage of magnetic field superposition is proposed and a numerical study together with experimental verification is presented. The technique allows prohibit movement of selected robots while others can continue in motion.
