Abstract

This paper introduces `Assistive device for physically challenged person using voice controlled intelligent robotic arm'. The major issues concerned with the success of assistive robotics are whether the patient accepts the technology and can efficiently accepts it. This is important for people who are physically challenged. Therefore, it is necessary to train the physically challenged people to access the robots with different techniques in their daily life activities. The prototype aimed to integrate the voice recognition system into the robotic arm and move the robotic arm accordingly with the voice commands given immediately, hold the object and leave it. The robotic arm is been set up on the rail system which is controlled by using the joystick. The system will be more reliable when the voice of the desired person alone is detected.
