摘要

Artificial Muscles Pritish Nagwade, Sanghoon Lee, and co-workers present BiMAM – a biomimetic modular artificial muscle driven by chemical power and controlled by electronic signals (see article number 2300200). The bioinspired design of the nanoparticle-coated artificial muscle unit in BiMAM enables larger chemical-based actuation strokes. Additionally, an electromechanical system developed to facilitate chemical fuel control allows electronic manipulation of BiMAM. By demonstrating electromyography-based control of BiMAM, this article glances at the future of chemical-driven bionics and robotics.
