Ziwei Chen is a rising interdisciplinary researcher whose work sits at the intersection of advanced materials and human-robot interaction. Chen’s primary contributions span two distinct yet innovative domains: the development of smart, wearable sensing fibers and the engineering of socially attentive robotic systems. In the materials science arena, Chen pioneered the design of hollow MWCNT-TPU/TPU smart fibers using a speed-controlled coaxial wet-spinning technique.
