About
Zhixin Jia is a rising innovator in the field of flexible and wearable electronics, with a primary focus on developing high-performance strain and pressure sensors. Her major contributions center on the rational design of conductive elastomer composites, particularly through the strategic integration of MXene materials. In her highly cited 2023 work, Jia introduced a sparse-dense hierarchical structure in conductive elastomers, achieving a breakthrough in sensitivity for stretchable strain sensors. Her 2022 study on Ti₃C₂ MXene@polyurethane composites further demonstrated how to combine high flexibility with exceptional piezoresistive sensitivity. Most notably, Jia proposed a novel "casting–permeating–curing" method to fabricate Ti₃C₂ MXene and modified carbon black composites, establishing that surface structure modulation is a feasible strategy for designing highly sensitive electronics. With her key papers accumulating over 40 citations, Jia’s work is directly advancing the practical realization of high-performance wearable electronics, offering scalable solutions for next-generation health monitoring and human-machine interfaces. Her innovative approach to material architecture marks her as a promising voice in smart sensor technology.
