Yu-Long Xie is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose work centers on minimally invasive surgical innovations for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), particularly in managing complex recurrences. His primary research focus is the development and refinement of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for retropharyngeal lymph node (RPLN) dissection, a technically demanding procedure that offers a safer alternative to traditional reirradiation or open surgery.
