Dr. Yu‐Chuan Lu’s research centers on the immunology and surgical management of prostate cancer, with a particular focus on the role of natural killer (NK) cells in disease progression and treatment outcomes. His major contributions include demonstrating that lower postoperative NK cell activity is significantly associated with positive surgical margins after radical prostatectomy, and identifying NKG2A and circulating extracellular vesicles as key regulators of NK cell function in the post-surgical tumor microenvironment.
