About
Xiu He is a researcher in advanced optical fiber sensing technology, with a primary focus on the development of high-precision, multi-dimensional force sensors. His most notable contribution is the design and fabrication of three-dimensional force sensors based on all-fiber Fabry–Perot strain sensors, a breakthrough published in 2020 that has garnered 7 citations to date. This work addresses a critical challenge in tactile sensing and structural health monitoring by enabling simultaneous measurement of force magnitude and direction using a compact, all-fiber architecture. By integrating Fabry–Perot interferometry with strain-sensitive structures, He’s sensor achieves exceptional sensitivity and robustness, paving the way for applications in robotics, biomedical devices, and aerospace. His research exemplifies the fusion of photonics and mechanical engineering, offering a scalable solution for real-time, multi-axis force detection. As a rising figure in the field, Xiu He’s work continues to inspire innovations in smart sensing systems, with potential to transform how machines interact with their environments.
