About
William Adams is a pioneering researcher in human-robot interaction and autonomous mobile robotics, whose work has fundamentally shaped how robots perceive, navigate, and communicate with humans. His research spans two deeply interconnected domains: robot autonomy and natural human-robot communication. In autonomous navigation, Adams made significant contributions through the development of ARIEL, a system integrating exploration, localization, and map-building for mobile robots operating in unknown environments.
