About

Dr. Weihong Qi is a leading materials scientist whose research focuses on the design and engineering of advanced polymer composites and flexible electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbing materials. Dr. Qi’s most impactful work addresses the critical need for multifunctional, flexible absorbers in wearable electronics and soft robotics. In a highly cited 2024 study, Dr. Qi pioneered a Schottky interface engineering strategy within Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene/ZnS organic hydrogels, achieving high-performance EM wave absorption with exceptional flexibility. This work, garnering 31 citations, demonstrates a novel approach to tuning dielectric properties for next-generation camouflage and stealth technologies. Further advancing the field of lightweight robotics, Dr. Qi’s 2025 research developed a groundbreaking PEEK-based composite with ultra-low friction.
