About
Toru Izui is a robotics researcher whose work centers on network robot services, cloud-based robot integration, and accessible robot software development. His most significant contribution is the conception and development of the RSi Research Cloud (RSi-Cloud), a framework that enables seamless integration of robot services with internet services through the standardized Robot Service Network Protocol (RSNP). This foundational work, which has accumulated over 38 citations, demonstrated how robots could be interconnected through cloud environments to enable practical applications such as surveillance and remote monitoring services.
