Tiina Rasilainen is a materials scientist whose pioneering work on superhydrophobic polymer surfaces has reshaped our understanding of wettability and surface engineering. Her research focuses on creating controlled micro- and nanostructures on polyolefin substrates—particularly polypropylene—to achieve extreme water repellency and anisotropic wetting behavior.
