Tarek Al-Hammouri is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for bladder and prostate cancers, with a particular emphasis on robotic-assisted procedures. His landmark 2022 study on robot-assisted radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion, which has garnered over 320 citations, demonstrated comparable 90-day morbidity and mortality to open surgery, establishing a new standard for bladder cancer treatment.
