Shaobing Zhou is a leading researcher in the field of smart biomaterials and soft robotics, with a focus on designing adaptive, stimuli-responsive hydrogels, ionogels, and liquid crystal elastomers. Their major contributions include pioneering the development of biomimetic hydrogels with thermal-triggered switchable underwater adhesion and stable antiswelling properties, addressing a long-standing challenge in wet-environment applications.
