About
Shangbi Chen is a rising innovator in the field of flexible electronics and smart materials, with a research focus on conductive fibers, capacitive pressure sensors, and multifunctional deformable structures. Chen’s major contributions include the development of a hollow thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fiber filled with liquid metal, which achieves rapid electrothermal deformation and recovery—a breakthrough for stretchable, responsive wearable devices.
