Dr. Ryuichi Waseda is a pioneering surgeon and researcher at the forefront of robotic-assisted thoracic surgery. His work centers on a critical challenge in the field: the loss of tactile sensation in robotic procedures. Dr. Waseda’s major contribution is the clinical translation of the Saroa™ surgical system, a pneumatically driven robot with real-time haptic feedback.
