About

Prem Pal Singh is a pioneering researcher at the forefront of smart materials and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. His work focuses on developing bio-inspired, multifunctional composite architectures that integrate tunable EMI shielding, energy harvesting, and storage capabilities. Singh’s major contributions include the creation of thermally tunable EMI shielding composites, such as ethanol-impregnated PDMS/CoZTO/SWCNT systems and shape-memory elastomer composites, which offer externally stimulated shielding for advanced applications in military, aerospace, and robotics. His 2023 paper on bio-inspired smart composites for green EMI shielding has garnered 20 citations, while his 2023 work on thermally tunable shielding has 15 citations. Notably, Singh introduced an integrated approach for piezo-electrochemical nanoenergy generation, storage, and real-time EMI control, published in 2024 (15 citations), addressing pressing challenges in high-end wireless electronics. His 2025 study on Mimosa pudica-derived natural piezoelectric nanogenerators further showcases his innovation in sustainable energy solutions. With a growing citation record and a focus on practical, high-impact technologies, Singh is shaping the future of smart electromagnetic materials.
