Onkar Dikshit is a leading figure in geodetic engineering and landslide hazard assessment, whose work has pioneered multi-sensor monitoring strategies in the challenging terrain of the Indian Himalayas. His research integrates cutting-edge geodetic techniques—including Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Robotic Total Stations, and Multi-temporal InSAR—to detect, map, and monitor slope instability with unprecedented spatial and temporal resolution.
