Narda Murillo is a leading researcher in neurorehabilitation and assistive technologies, with a primary focus on restoring mobility and improving quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Her most impactful work centers on the clinical application of robotic exoskeletons for gait training. In her landmark 2017 study, cited over 180 times, Murillo demonstrated the safety, feasibility, and functional benefits of 8 weeks of exoskeleton training using Ekso Bionics devices, establishing a foundational protocol for this emerging therapy.
