Milan Ramaiya is a pioneering researcher in neurorehabilitation, specializing in the use of virtual reality (VR) and robotics to remediate attention deficits following severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her work addresses a critical gap in the field, as attention impairments during early recovery have been historically understudied. Ramaiya’s major contributions include demonstrating the feasibility and tolerance of interactive, technology-driven interventions for patients with severe TBI, even in acute inpatient settings.
